Jump Force's gameplay is spectacular and amazing, but too many technical issues get in the way, ruining part of the fun.Ĭrossover games are nothing new to Bandai Namco or Shonen Jump, so it surprises and disappoints me to see that none of the good aspects or successful mechanics of these previous games made their way into Jump Force at all. #PS4 JUMP FORCE REVIEW FULL#
Jump Force is a game full of good intentions their execution, homewever, is heavily flawed. One would probably be better off focusing on the core fighting game aspects though. Jump Force knows that it’s really for the Shonen Jump fans and if you are a fan there’s plenty to like here. What this game is really about is fan service and I must admit that it succeeds in offering folks up a hefty chunk in that department. Jump Force is a beautiful mess of a fighting game, its huge roster and delightful gameplay surrounded by unnecessary structure and single player. Promising collection of manga and anime characters but quite disappointing as a fighting game Jump Force is not a bad game, nor was it a good game, but definitely a disappointing game in my opinion. For all we know it could be hidden in Kakashi's mouth if we're lucky. The theory and potential were definitely there, I just don't know what happened to the execution, delivery, and passion though. Shounen Jump created this game in celebration of their 50th year anniversary and many of us were definitely at least interested in it and some couldn't help but be overly excited over it. PlayStation Galaxy - Jett Vincent Sia - 5 / 10 The confluence of so many universes in which at the moment is the definitive crossover of the Shonen.

IGN Spain - José Cabrera - Spanish - 7.5 / 10Īn uncomplicated concession for fans of several generations to come together in a game that is more fun than competitive. Even with a roster of 40 beloved characters, it fails to stick the landing. Jump Force is all flash and little substance. Jump Force provides strategic tag-team arena-based combat that's filled with fun references to Shonen Jump manga, but the game's story leaves much to be desired. But Jump Force is a fighting game, and so everything about it that’s turgid and unnecessary can largely be avoided or overlooked. If it wasn’t for Jump Force‘s highly entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable combat, the game would be a disaster. GamePro - Michael Cherdchupan - German - 75 / 100Įffective, accessible and fun anime beat'em up that has inconsistencies in technology and game design. Unbalanced mechanics and poorly designed UI make Jump Force a chore to play, despite the exciting visual trappings. It does not excel as an actual fighting game however. Jump Force excels at fanservice, at showing what battles between all these characters would look like. Not only do the franchises represented deserve better than this, but it's an awful way to celebrate the manga giant's 50th anniversary. The fighting is repetitive and dull, the infrastructure is more annoying than entertaining, and it's a gigantic disappointment from start to finish. Other than being a crossover title with some pretty special moves, there isn't anything to applaud here. There isn't much nice to be said about Jump Force. Game Revolution - Tyler Treese - 1.5 / 5 stars

Jump Force is an ambitious fighting game that stumbles several times on itself, trying to overcome its predecessors and chasing other well-known exponents of the genre. Overall Jump Force is a huge disappointment. The visuals and art style is atrocious, the gameplay lacks any kind of depth, and the animations are horrific.

This is an older brawler in an HD skin: if you want something more than that, look elsewhere.ĭigitalCentralMedia - Jordan Micheal - 19 / 100įor a game with such potential Jump Force is a colossal blunder and a rushed mess. The core is good, it's just let down by some odd design choices and an average campaign. Like the Dissidia series, Jump Force is something I'm going to be coming back to for random bits of fun throughout the years.
#PS4 JUMP FORCE REVIEW HOW TO#
Thus, the alleged games highlight turns out to be an entertaining fun for all fans, but over a longer period of time does not know how to motivate. The great animations in the fight can hardly compensate for the weak plot and bad presentation. Jump Force fails to hit the mark with a total lack of care in terms of everything outside of its decent fighting mechanicsĬerealkillerz - Manuel Barthes - German - 6.9 / 10Īnnounced as one of Bandai Namco's biggest titles, Jump Force turns out to be another unloving anime adaptation that does not even match all of its unique characters. However, the game does not manage to meet the expectations due to several technical problems as well as the lack of an interesting story

Jump Force is a good title for the manga and anime fans.
